Welcome to Dawn Reed Pottery. I am a hobby potter, who is slowly but surely improving my skills to be able to make some lovely pots, vases, spoon rests and more! I’m experimenting with lots of different styles, colours and clays – hopefully I will find something I really like soon – but until then I am having a fantastic time playing with mud!
I have invested in a Scutt RK-55 wheel and an older kiln (the predessesor to the Cromartie Hobbytech 40. I’ve taken over a room of our house and have what I am calling my little studio. I love it in there and am slowly but surely adding bits and pieces and lots of glazes!
If you’re a new potter and want to see a similar journey, if you’re a lover of pottery or if you simply want to know more, welcome!

My Blog
I’m trying to blog some of the most challenging parts of being a new potter, as well as enjoying the good bits! There is more good than bad – and it’s a learning curve. Check out my blog to read a little more about what I have learnt along the way.

Gallery
The gallery acts as a record of pots – right from the first day I unwrapped my pottery wheel to present day. Hopefully this shows progress as I go along! There will be lots of pictures available, as with both successes and failures recorded.

About Me
The about me page is a bit of an intro into who I am, what I do and what I’ve been doing with clay. Find out more about me, my life and what I enjoy about pottery.
